Our programme is designed to award Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Degree with specialization in a teaching subject in the field of Economics, Accounting, Business Education, Political Science, Geography and Mathematics.
We admit students through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry for 4 and 3 years respectively. The department has two Professors, a Senior Lecturer and four other erudite scholars with Ph.D.
Education is changing all over the world, in course content, methods of learning, and in administration, human frontiers of knowledge and skills are expanding due to theses new forces. In essence, education in response to these realities, educational management has development into a new science to cater for these dynamics of knowledge. Consequently, the department has a multi-disciplinary approach in the content of its programme which cuts across educational administration, planning, economics of education, human resources and quantitative techniques to equip young people who are studying to be educational managers.
Conclusively, we are research-driven and service oriented to public and private school proprietors to uplift the standard of managing the teaching profession.
